Android Ice Cream Sandwich - area code lookup on the Galaxy Nexus Video
A neat little feature in Android Ice Cream Sandwich has been discovered by Galaxy Nexus users.
If you receive a call from a number not in your phonebook, it'll list the area. If you don't like picking up calls from people you don't know this is great, as it gives you an idea of who may be calling - for instance, your partner is on a business trip somewhere, it's probably them.
We're assuming this does a background lookup rather than a database on the device. What would be cool is if it can look up business names from their number too, although lots of outgoing calls from businesses may not actually be their public number... Still, it's another neat feature!
